The idea
Angelo Lazzeri’s new music project with his trio (Daniele Mencarelli on the electric bass and Paolo
Corsi on the drums) availed of the collaboration of four talented musicians, experts of their own
instruments, each boasting international experience, to bring to life a repertoire of original tracks written
and arranged by the leader.
The repertoire, musically complex yet extremely musical, is stylistically based on the modern jazz
imprint, with hints of ‘other’ music, the common denominator nevertheless being interplay and
improvisation, that the seven components of the group are masters of.
The group has just finished recording the album, in February 2025, which will be coming out in a few
months.
